NWO and NSO invite researchers to a preparatory workshop on October 21 for a thematic call within the funding programme 'Use of space infrastructure for Earth observation and planetary research’ (GO).
The overarching theme of the call is the use of atmospheric space instruments with strong Dutch involvement, for scientific problems at the interface of multiple research areas. The NWO Domain Science Board aims to provide funding for one coherent research programme with 5 temporary research positions (PhDs or postdocs). The aim of the workshop is to identify scientific challenges and further define the contours of the programme in a bottom-up way.
The preparatory workshop will take place on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 13:00 - 17:30 hours in the auditorium (room 9.02) of NWO-Utrecht. Interested researchers are asked to register at go@nwo.nl and to provide a short description (maximum ½ A4) of a research idea and the required expertise. This input will be used to structure the discussions, and will be made available to all workshop participants.
