Terrascope is the collaborative ground segment of Belgium and is implemented by VITO. It provides users access to, among others, Proba V, Sentinel 1, 2 and 3 data. In addition, it also offers users access to more geo-data specific to Belgium. This data can be viewed and downloaded in a viewer.
In addition to viewing and downloading data, the platform also offers users the opportunity to analyze data. This is made possible through virtual machines. These are offered for free depending on the amount of use and have Qgis and programming notebooks on the server. In contact with VITO, the virtual machines are scalable in terms of CPU cores, RAM and data storage, but there are additional costs associated with this.
Additional services and data are offered and obtained through an EO marketplace on the portal. Depending on the provider, this may or may not involve costs.
