Eumetsat is the European operational satellite agency for monitoring weather, climate, and the environment. For this task, Eumetsat operates, among others, the Meteosat, Metop and Sentinel (3 and 6) satellites. These satellites provide near real-time data for weather and climate.
A large part of the data is freely accessible and is made publicly available by Eumetsat. Not only is there access to the raw data, but also to a large amount of processed and analyzed data. Users can query the data catalog with the “product navigator”. Data can also be viewed via the “Earth Observation Portal” and an API.
In EUMETView, users can view and animate data. The EUMETSAT Data store allows users to download near real time and historical data. For data from the long-term archive, the EUMETSAT Data Centre can be used.
