As part of the European DIAS initiative, the Creodias, Mundi and Onda platforms provide users with access to both open Copernicus data and commercial data. Aimed at researchers, commercial parties and governments, these platforms offer the option of viewing, downloading, storing data or analyzing and processing it directly via specific services.
The data can be discovered and viewed in viewers. The data can then be downloaded directly into the viewer. In addition, it is also possible to access the data through an API.
Analyzing data is made possible by platform-specific cloud resources. Each platform offers an environment where data can be analyzed using tools such as: Jupyter Notebooks, open-source tools such as “Orfeo Tool Box” and “ESA SNAP”, or on dedicated virtual machines. The virtual machines are scalable in terms of CPU cores, RAM and data storage, but this must be paid for. Part of the DIAS functionality is now integrated in the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem.
