The data from the Copernicus sentinel missions is supplemented with data from so-called “Copernicus Contributing Missions”. This concerns data from ESA missions, national initiatives, and commercial missions. This data is mainly used to fulfill the need for high resolution data for the Copernicus services.
It is possible for anyone to register with the platform. However, government agencies have access to a more extensive library of data compared to the general public. Users can search, view, and download data via the “Planetary Data Access Tool” (PANDA), an online platform. A wide library of (high resolution) earth observation data can be accessed via PANDA. It is not possible to analyze or edit data on this platform.
