Policy Regarding the Provision of Data and Information

Government Policy: Equality and non-discrimination are the principles. Therefore, access to the satellite data portal is open to all Dutch legal entities, Dutch institutions, and Dutch residents, following the intake procedure at the Netherlands Space Office (NSO). The internet provides a mechanism to achieve broad dissemination of data and information while maintaining impartiality.

Content of Information:
From March 1, 2012, to March 1, 2023 (eleven years), the government will make satellite data and additional information available to Dutch legal entities under certain conditions. The accessibility, composition, and availability of the satellite data and/or the content of the provided information may always be subject to change. Efforts are made to collect all relevant information on the website http://www.spaceoffice.nl/nl/Satellietdataportaal.

Access to Satellite Data, Information, and Software:
The government does not own the satellite data, information, or software in the satellite data portal but facilitates access under acceptance of user license conditions. Without acceptance of the user license conditions, data and/or software may not be used in any way. Copyrights on the data and/or products specified elsewhere must be respected in all cases.

Copyrights:
All material published on the satellite data portal is protected by intellectual property rights or usage rights and is owned or controlled by external parties who, as the content, software, or other material providers, have defined the restrictions for use. Users may not download, edit, and/or redistribute data and materials if this may conflict with the owner's copyrights or user licenses.

Liability:
Neither the government, its institutions, nor any of their employees, contractors, or subcontractors, provide any warranty, explicit or implicit, and do not assume any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, timely availability, or usefulness of any information, data, products, or processes disclosed. All data is made available "as is." Any complaints will be addressed to the best of their ability. Additionally, the aforementioned parties do not guarantee that the use of data will not infringe on the rights of individuals.

The government and/or its engaged parties can never be held liable for any damage directly or indirectly resulting from the use or unavailability of data, software, and/or data from the satellite data portal. Nor can any of the mentioned parties be held liable for any consequential damages.

Links and references to websites are provided for information purposes only. No guarantee can be given about the content, suitability, relevance, accuracy, timeliness, and correctness of information, data, software, and products mentioned on websites, other references, and hyperlinks.
